Problem
Ventnor City Hall was designed in 1928 by Vivian Smith, a prominent southern New Jersey shore architect. The terrazzo in the building, a remarkably resilient flooring material, had remained intact but had lost its shine and elegance. Notice the poor appearance of the floor in the BEFORE images.
Solution
We honed the terrazzo to remove signs of wear, scratches, and other damage, and then used a series of progressively finer grit diamond pads to give the floor the beautiful polish you see in the AFTER images. The final step in our terrazzo restoration process was to apply a clear, penetrating sealer to inhibit staining.
The city officials were very pleased with our work, as were we! For more information, visit our Terrazzo Services page. You may also enjoy viewing this short video.
